Stella Pierides, born in Athens, Greece, lives in London, England and Bavaria, Germany. Stella writes prose and poetry. Her work has been included in the Anthologies Gathering Diamonds form the Well (New Gallery Books, 2007), Derek (Leaf Books, 2007), Dance the Guns to Silence (Flipped eye, 2005), in Bordercrossing Berlin, Spiked, The Quiet Feather, Aesthetica, the online Muse Apprentice Guild, Big Pond Rumours and elsewhere. She has co-edited Even Paranoids Have Enemies (Routledge, 1998) and Beyond Madness (JKP, 2002) and published articles and reviews in other books and journals. Her prose has been short-listed for the Fish Publishing 2004 inaugural VERY Short Story prize, and the Flame Books Short Story competition 2004. Stella's interests include the visual arts and literature, spirituality and the pursuit of meaning. She perseveres with her yoga practice and meditation, tends her garden, speaks to her cats and tortoises and goes with her friends for walks around the Bavarian lakes and rivers. And she reads. A lot. Stella is member of English PEN , "Word for Word " and "Munich Writers ". |
